PUNE, INDIA, October 27, 2013 – Simone Callioni, Manager – Business Development (Eastern), Aquatech, India, took part in Power-Gen Asia’s Industrial Water Day Program. Mr. Callioni chaired the session on Wastewater Optimization & Reuse, which focused on how industrial facilities are urgently improving wastewater treatment and optimizing water reuse, driven by increased environmental awareness and discharge regulations. This session covered technologies to reuse water within a power plant and how a combination of processes may lead to a final zero liquid discharge approach.
In addition, he participated in the panel on Intake, Cooling and Blowdown Treatment Considerations with a discussion of “Cooling Tower Blowdown Treatment and Reuse in a Coal Fired Power Plant in India.” This session examined how water is introduced to power production, treated and then discharged.
Mr. Callioni also served on the Advisory Board for this event, which was held this month in Bangkok, Thailand.
