DOHA, QATAR, Feb. 19, 2013 – Aquatech International Corporation, a global leader in water purification technology for the industrial and infrastructure markets, had a high profile at the 2nd Annual WaterWorld Middle East Conference and Exhibition. Held February 4-6 at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, this event attracted delegates, exhibitors and visitors from more than 50 countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and around the world.
Devesh Sharma, Executive Vice President of Aquatech and Vikrant Sarin, Manager Technology and Business Development, for Aquatech Eastern FZE are members of the Advisory Board for WaterWorld Middle East, which was focused on water and wastewater.
Mr. Sarin chaired the session on Wastewater Reuse, which explored the increasing popularity of wastewater reuse in the region, particularly for agricultural and industrial applications, with an examination of challenges and solutions for handling and treatment.
In addition, Mr. Sarin also presented a paper on “Successful Application of Aqua-EMBR System Treating Effluent Generated from a Chemical Manufacturing Unit’’ in the session on Industrial Water Treatment. The paper examined this topic within the session’s focus on how the latest industrial water treatment technologies are being used with to reduce water usage and increase efficiencies. This paper was co–authored by Mr. Nilesh Tantak, Sr. Application Engineer, Aquatech Systems (Asia) Pvt Ltd, India, and Mr. Nitin Chandan, Deputy Manager R&D, Aquatech Systems (Asia) Pvt. Ltd, India.
