SAN ANTONIO, TX, Nov. 4, 2012 – Aquatech, a global leader in water purification technologies and services for the industrial and infrastructure markets, will have a high profile at the International Water Conference® (IWC), which takes place on November 4-8 at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.
Venkee Sharma, Aquatech’s Chief Executive Officer, will present the Keynote address on Industrial Water – What’s Next, Monday, November 5 during the Keynote Plenary Session. Aquatech executives will present papers on “Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) Evaporation Plant Operations” and “Field Operation Results for Treatment of Frac Water with Aquatech’s MoVap® Mobile Industrial Distillation” and will also lead a post-conference workshop that addresses “Thermal Zero Liquid Discharge Processes”.
FGD Evaporation Plant Operations (IWC-12- 25) will be presented on Monday, November 5 by J. Michael Marlett, Applications Engineering Manager for Aquatech’s Aqua-Chem Industrial Concentration Division (ICD). This paper is a report on the operation of power plants in Italy that are operated and maintained by ENEL where Aquatech installed five ZLD plants for FGD wastewater treatment. It will examine the operation of the units four years after their startup.
Charles Kozora, Regional Business Development Manager for Aquatech’s Shale Gas Division, will present Field Operation Results for Treatment of Frac Water with Aquatech’s MoVap Mobile Industrial Distillation (IWC-12- 54) on Tuesday, November 6. The paper reports on the operation results of Aquatech’s MoVap unit that was put into operation in 2011 to treat differing combinations of drill fluid, Frac Flowback and Production brine received from multiple gas well pads and producers.
On Thursday, November 8, J. Michael Marlett, will conduct a post-conference workshop on Thermal Zero Liquid Discharge Processes (W7). This course is designed to give a basic understanding of the information required for the selection and design of an evaporation system in a wastewater application. It will include the impacts of chemistry, equipment selection and energy source selection as well as provide case studies based on real world applications in a variety of industries.
