Ltd., will present a paper on “Cost Effective Solution of Waste Water Reuse & ZLD in CTX with Reference in China” at the 3rd Annual World Clean Coal Week, China Focus 2012, which takes place November 5-8 in Beijing. The focus of the conference is for clean coal practitioners to learn from each other in terms of clean coal technology implementation.
“Coal to produce gas, chemical and liquid (CTX) is a hot topic for China in order to balance the energy import from oversea. Wastewater treatment and reuse have become critical issues, because these waters are in high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) as well as high COD content. At the same time, huge water consumption in processes requires strategies to maximize water reuse. In some areas, even ZLD is becoming a complementary solution,” said Mr. Tseng.
This paper presents an industrial project where the reuse and ZLD system was provided to reclaim 91% of feed water, with only 9 cubic meters per hour m3/hr of heavy polluted brine discharged to solar pond.
“We are looking into the technical challenges faced and how they are handled using proven technologies in innovative way, while also reviewing economical parameters to show cost effectiveness from CAPEX and OPEX,” he added.
