CANONSBURG, June 2008 – Aquatech International Corporation, a leader in the field of water and waste water treatment, desalination, water reuse, and zero liquid discharge, has recently received a water treatment contract for the Hawaiian Electric Company’s 110 MW Simple Cycle Biofueled Power Plant at the Campbell Industrial Park in Hawaii.
The system comprises of 600 GPM Media Filters, a 400 GPM Seawater Reverse Osmosis system, a 300 GPM HERO™ system, a second pass 300 GPM Reverse Osmosis system and then a 300 GPM Mixed Bed system from Aquatech. All of this equipment is scheduled to be delivered in 2009.
The system design offers optimum use of components while treating three different feed waters, saline ground water, tertiary-treated grey water and potable city water with high silica.
