Membranes are starting to make their mark in steam assisted enhanced oil recovery de-oiling applications to treat produced water for recycling/reuse, but have yet to enter into the back-end desalination process due to temperature constraints. Aquatech VP Alan Daza, P.Eng., will speak at the AMTA/SCMA Technology Transfer Workshop in Houston, TX on Thursday, April 28, from 1:45 pm – 2:15 pm. His presentation, “Recycling and Reuse of Produced Water in Steam Assisted Enhanced Oil Recovery Systems,” focuses on areas where membranes have started to be introduced, along with a novel approach for high temperature applications in steam assisted EOR systems.
