Delivering Value Through Technologyinnovations

Aquatech’s innovations include patented, cutting edge technologies and processes, as well as simple, yet groundbreaking, new business models. We are dedicated to our customers and providing the best solutions to solve any project challenges, meet specific industry requirements, enhance system performance and reliability, and significantly reduces installation time and costs.

BioCore Technology

  • Our BioCORE™ Fluidized Bed Bioreactor technology utilizes a specially designed media, which due to its unique shape and extremely high active surface area, has been proven to achieve water quality compliance in challenging industrial wastewater applications. BioCORE is an advanced biological process that provides results while also reducing CAPEX and OPEX. The process has significant cost benefits and can be easily used to retrofit existing non-compliant facilities.

HEVAP™ High Efficiency Evaporation

  • Reliability is vital for Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) operations. At Aquatech, we have a great deal of experience designing ZLD plants, which have led to the development of our patented HEVAP™ technology. HEVAP pre-conditions the feed water by incorporating a softening step combined with additional conditioning of the feed water prior to treatment by the evaporators. This process provides the evaporators with essentially a scale free environment in which to operate. Other advantages, which help lower operating expense (OPEX) and life cycle costs (LCC), include. As a result, this allows evaporators to be more efficient with less downtime and longer runs in between evaporator cleanings.

HERO™ Technology

  • High Efficiency Reverse Osmosis (HERO™) is a reverse osmosis technology, specially designed to treat high silica and difficult to treat wastewater. By effectively preventing constituents -that often pose problems to conventional RO process – from being a root cause to membrane fouling or scaling, the high efficiency reverse osmosis process offers the end user higher recoveries as well as significant operational benefits.
  • HERO’s high pH operating environment overcomes the limitations of conventional RO systems. In a high efficiency reverse osmosis system, RO membranes are operated in high pH environment and hence, in a “continuous cleaning mode,” eliminating the potential foulants, and resulting in a substantially improved overall performance.

LoWatt Desalination Process

  • Aquatech has developed LoWatt™ technology to focus on membrane desalination’s two biggest pain points: biofouling and energy consumption. Our proprietary process couples cutting edge pretreatment, an innovative cleaning cycle, and decades of RO plant design to deliver the best solution for our customers.

SmartMOD® Produced Water Evaporation System

  • In the rugged Northern Alberta environment, installation of conventional Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) produced water treatment systems can be challenging. SAGD is a technique to recover bitumen from the oil sands formation. The oil is recovered by further processing and upgrading the recovered bitumen. These formations are called Oil Sands as the bituminous resource is mixed with sand in the formation. The liquid that is brought to the surface is a mixture of oil and water.  The oil and water are separated in a deoiling process.  The water is put through Aquatech’s produced water treatment system.  Once water is purified, the water is used as feed to the boiler for generation of steam for injection into the formation and the cycle continues.

Steamflood Enhanced Oil Recovery Process

  • Integrated Oilfield Water Management at One of the World’s Largest Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Facilities
  • Oilfields produce more water than oil. Fields utilizing the Steamflood process need to recover produced water as feed for boilers. Aquatech merged old and new technology to provide a complete and optimized solution to OXY at one of their most important Middle East developments.

MoSuite

  • Consisting of specific process units (MoTreat®, MoMix®, MoPress®, and MoVap®), the MoSuiteTM family of mobile water treatment has been designed for on-site and satellite coal seam methane gas recovery. The various units work in tangent to optimize the water treatment process, yielding water that can be recycled and reused without the need for costly trucking to off-site facilities.
