CANONSBURG, December 2008 — Aquatech International Corporation, a leader in the field of water and waste water treatment, desalination, water reuse, and zero liquid discharge, has recently received an order from SNC-Lavalin Inc., (Toronto), as agent for the Ambatovy Minerals SA and Dynatec Madagascar SA nickel-cobalt mining and processing project in Madagascar, (Ambatovy Project).
Aquatech will design, manufacture and supply a SprayFilm Evaporator that will concentrate nickel sulphate bearing process stream. This industrial concentrator is expected to be delivered to the Ambatovy Project in late 2009.
In 2007, SNC-Lavalin Inc. awarded Aquatech a contract for the design, manufacture and supply of a 12,380 gpm (2800 m³/hr) Clarifier, a 3080 gpm (700 m³/hr) Ion Exchange Demineralization System and 3080 gpm (700 m³/hr) Iron Removal Filters for the Ambatovy Project. This equipment is in the final phase of shipment.
